Role Overview

We’re hiring a hands-on Sales Lead who will personally sell BusyVoice to small and mid-sized businesses while also shaping the sales function from the ground up. This is a player–coach role ideal for someone who still enjoys being in the field — prospecting, conducting demos, and closing deals.

You'll have access to advanced AI tools that enhance outreach, follow-up, and pipeline capacity, allowing you to operate with greater efficiency than a traditional sales rep.

Industry Experience Requirement

To succeed in this role, previous experience selling answering-service or virtual-receptionist offerings is required. Understanding call-handling plans, billing models, usage patterns, and common buyer objections will allow you to build immediate credibility with prospects.

What You'll Do

Hands-On Selling

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospect → discovery → demo → close.
  • Use AI-driven outreach tools to scale personalized outbound.
  • Communicate BusyVoice’s value in a way that resonates with industry pain points.
  • Build trusted relationships across multiple SMB verticals.

Building the Sales Function

  • Create scripts, messaging frameworks, and demo flows.
  • Develop scalable outbound sequences and workflows.
  • Establish CRM processes and define early KPIs.

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Provide feedback to product on features, objections, and opportunities.
  • Help refine ICPs and identify top-performing verticals.
  • Explore partnerships (VoIP providers, MSPs, niche networks).
  • Contribute to pricing and packaging discussions.

Who You Are

  • Experienced selling answering-service or virtual-receptionist solutions.
  • Enjoy hands-on selling and closing deals personally.
  • Comfortable with outbound environments and tailoring messaging.
  • Experienced building or improving sales systems (playbooks, sequences, automation).
  • Thrives in early-stage environments and enjoys building from scratch.
  • Curious, tech-forward, and excited to leverage AI tools.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience selling SaaS or tech-enabled services.
  • Startup or early-sales-hire background.
  • Partnership or channel sales experience.
  • Understanding of VoIP or call-routing concepts.

Compensation

Competitive base salary + outstanding commission structure (low cost, high margin service).
